| I am both Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. It is best to try to prevent the need for abortion in the first place. Also, it is good to provide support for those who do not desire abortion yet still want to have their child adopted. Many of my patients in the past have benefitted from adoptions like this. Abortion at or near the time of normal delivery is unreasonable. | |||

| Protecting taxes and raising taxes is intricate and requires good study and consideration. Raising taxes that charges employers but, as a result, causes increased inflation and decreased pay, and hurts employees can be detrimental. Yet there are those who should contribute more taxes because it does not significantly harm them. Pensions should only be considered for reduction if other alternatives are available. | |||

| Capital punishment causes citizens much money and recurrent court costs. Such guilty individuals should be imprisoned and forced to work for the benefit of society. As a physician, I have not found that any convicted drug offenders are truly non-violent, because of the results of their actions. While the mandatory minimum sentences may be adjusted, such compulsory time should result in a decreased tendency to commit a crime, and increased time for rehabilitation while imprisoned. Too many of my patients have been harmed or died as a result of such offenders. | |||

Allowing local reductions of some government regulations may help in securing certain housing and job benefits if used appropriately. I support increasing the value of the dollar in Utah more than the minimum wage! This would be of better benefit to all. There are businesses that have severely suffered as a result of Covid-19 and that can be of great community advantage if reinforced and assisted. While this is not true of all, it is the case for many. | |||

| There are gross federal education standards that are reasonable to be recommended, although local standards should be the bulk. If charter school funding improves access for the disabled and poor, it is of benefit. Most immigrants who are in school are not there because of their own choices and actions. It is unfair to pressure them because of others' decisions. | |||

While greenhouse gas emissions are substantial, they are not as large as the personal emissions from drivers. Both should be properly controlled. Without water, we do not live. The regulation on the energy grid again needs to be done in a non-violent way. | |||

| Government-run healthcare programs commonly do not provide the coverage that is best and appropriate for patients---this is known to me as a long-term Family Practitioner. Some expanded medical leave is proper, but it cannot be too extreme. Lowering the cost of prescription drugs can be best accomplished by preventing the legislators who are lawyers from obtaining so much compensation for their suits against the drug companies for a rare medication side effect. Lowering the cost of such a legal win can decrease the cost of many prescriptions, as it has in Canada. | |||

| Unfortunately, transgender athletes do not create fairness in competitions with other athletes, especially women. Options are to have a transgender team or just to see and appreciate their actions and performances in a non-competitive environment, without a need for a "win" from anyone. | |||
| The priorities of my campaign are to listen to all, have peaceful discussions, collaborate, and improve everything possible. Most people are talented and compassionate, and their capacity to use these traits should be amplified. For the future, proper education opportunities and safety for our children are of extreme importance. Success with this will provide universal victory. My campaign likes to answer questions such as those that are here, but the proper answer is rarely "yes" or "no." Most issues require more description and consideration. | |||
| The current top legislative priority is unfortunately environmental and water safety and availability. Funding needs to come from varied sources. Proper individual actions, such as water conservation and limited gasoline outflow will help. Any contributions from those who are wealthy and concerned should be requested. Obviously, State and Federal funding needs to be adequately proportioned for evaluations and remedies. Universities that are educating and experimenting with solutions need to be reinforced, especially those that make house calls and help individuals. |
